Default Black Overlay 303/adren/bombs : Workaround

Some people are experiencing an issue in Beta 4b where they get a black or black/red (in the case of bombs) overlay when hit with the 303, popping adrenaline, or being hit with a bomb.

    To stop getting the overlay:
From the main menu, select "Options"
    Select the "Video" tab
    Click the "Advanced" button
Set "High Dynamic Range" to "None"
    Apply the new setting.

One thing was certain, that the white kitten had had nothing to do with it - it was the black kitten's fault entirely.

Thanks so much man, next time this happens i'll try that.

I'd like to point out however, that it happened to me on hdn_executive too.

Yeah, I've seen people saying that as well.

I edited out the 'on these maps'.

Im guessing without that option turned off you're missing the graphical beauty.

Not really - you gain fps and lose out the silly light / dark contrast thing.

Will this be the only "fix" for this? I mean all the other maps have been rebuilt, now with HDR too. So it would be a lil bit meanly to have the choice between "I barely see something when a nade hurt me" or "Beautiful atmospheric maps"...

wow thnaks because it was hard to survive with a completely black screen for more than 10 seconds. Some time it went back to normal after like 15 seconds and sometimes it just stayed unti l i died.

Is this video card related? I have an 8800 GTS. It can handle the adrenaline and the grenade, just not the poison. I will try updating my drivers later today.
