Default Failed processing message svc_ServerInfo/Authentication Library/Sending Client Info

If you are getting booted from servers with the message:
    "Netchannel: failed processing message svc_ServerInfo"
or: "Unable to load authentication library, Exiting..." when you try to start the tutorial or create a server with the game client
or: when you try to connect it freezes at "Sending Client Info..."
    follow these instructions:

First, go to the hidden icon in your games list, right click and make a shortcut:

Next, find the shortcut it made on your desktop, right click and go to properties:

Click in the target box, and use the arrow keys to find the part shown in the picture:

(this can be tricky to find, if you're used to highlighting the text to scroll to the side, if you do that it skips between the end and the start and doesnt show you the middle, where the important part is. Like it says, click in the box, and use the arrow keys to get to the middle.)

Change the 220 to 215, and click ok:

Now launch from this shortcut when you want to join the servers that used to boot you. Using the tutorials or creating a server also work with this shortcut.

    -----------OR-------------

Install the "Source SDK Base". (View->Tools)
You get SDK base as soon you've bought an Source game (so it should work with CS:S, HL2: DM, DoD:S etc)

Then open up the "hidden" folder. Open the "gameinfo.txt" with the text Editor (not MS Word etc )

On line 21 you'll find following text:
    Code:
    SteamAppId 220 // This...
just change the "220" into a "215". Restart Steam, and have fun playing

    -----------------------
Note: When using 215, while some servers will let you in, some will now temp ban you with the message "illegal alias". They're usually 1 minute bans, and after the minute, you can join that server under 220.

Sticky it, but edit it and say that while this fix allows you to play on servers that boot you with that error, others will tempban you for "Illegal alias"

Illigal Alias temp bans are from Cvar-X and the non-functional "revert" commands hard coded into it...

but never the less, it is true...

Figured it'd make sense - now let's see if it actually makes people notice it.
