Thread: Video and Sound Skipping When Mouse is Moved

Unhappy Video and Sound Skipping When Mouse is Moved

The issue I am having with Hidden: Source Beta 4b is that whenever I move my mouse my frames drop and the screen kinda jumps as well as the audio. This only happens when moving the mouse, I can move in any direction without moving my mouse and it has perfect frames and audio. I realize that the screen lagging is a common issue with vsync but i have disabled it in both the game's advanced options and in my GPU's control panel.

To give you the specs of my rig
AMD Phenom II x6 3.2GHz 1090t Black edition
Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
    8 gb Ram
    Asus Sabertooth 990fx

I would truly like to enjoy this game to the fullest but at the moment I can't help but feel completely frustrated that I can run CS: Source but I can't run this mod. I've tried many possible fixes such as cl_smooth0 and setting my frames to the highest variable possible. Any help would be appreciated!

Reinstalling? Delete all current Hidden: Source content in your Steamapps folder, then run the install.
Use the search function for questions-It really works!

I have the exact same problem. I've tried just about everything, I also notice we both have the GTX 660 ti. very frustrating and makes the game practically unplayable. :/

My brother used to have the exact same problem, we managed to fix it by following the steps from this site: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-sweetpacks-toolbar/ (credit to Zoeo)

Take a look at this thread, this guy had the same problem as well: http://forum.hidden-source.com/showt...s-running-slow

I found a easy way. I had the same problem, and I dont know how for your mouse, but change its Polling Rate. I lowered mine and now in-game its not skippy when the mouse moves. Try it and see if that works. You could probably google you mouse and how to change its Polling Rate.
