Not to be complaining about free stuff, but does it have to be a steam game ?

I would rather get a preorder for NS2.

Sure we can do that. Edited first post to reflect the change in prizes from Steam Games to a choice between steam games or an online game of your choice.

Same here... I'm going to try and find time to give this a shot because I think it's such a good idea, but no promises that I'll be able to get a submission in!

I might try to make something.
Is finishing allmost ready maps fine? I haven't fully completed my hdn_waterpark.
I have also couple of non-released maps so I think that I could make one of those ready. I don't know if I have time to make a new map.

Waterpark is not eligible, since even though it may not be finished it's been played on public servers (I remember it somewhere lol) Other maps that haven't been released are fine. As long as it's not published anywhere.

Sketchup vmf exporter seems to be working well. Anyone else tried sketchup yet?

I saw the Sketchup demo when it was new and thought it was awesome... When I saw screenshots of the L4D SDK using it I freaked out.

Where are those? Im just using it for the brushwork for some of the more complicated structures in my map.
The materials and entities look too annoying to be done in SKUP.

The only annoying thing is everytime you make a shape you have to group it/component it.

If anyone wants to use it a good fyi is 1"skup = 1 hammer unit. You cant model with real-world dimensions, because 1 hammer unit isnt really as long as an inch. Im just doing brushwork in multiples of 2/8/16/.../128.
