Fuck me what a film.
Amazing is all that can describe it. If anyone has seen American History X and enjoyed it this is for you and even if you didnt its brilliant.

Filmed in 2006 I believe but made to look old and grainy. Been nominated for shitloads of awards and deserves them.
Watch it if you can.

Since American History X is definatly somewhere in my Top50-list, I managed to see 'This is England' as well. But I wouldn't give this one such a high rating. Unlike American History X there are merely black-and-white characters in this movie, the good skinheads and the bad ones; it's lacking some character development. However, I liked the sudden turning-points (the scene in which Sean's mom meets the gang, which went totally in contrary of everyones expectation) and the way you could forecast the movie nonetheless. I think the true charm of this movie is setting. But I'm not really connected to that, since I neither saw England nor the 80's. Probably it's just not my type of movie, I'm sure it is ingenious in it's very own way.
