It's now the 24'th here in little Hadsten in Denmark.
So here we go: Merry Christmas, and if you happen to get a Nintendo Wii, let me tell you that you can rot in Hell while being tortured by Adolf Hitler and spanked by a gay butcher. j/k

It would be an oddity to not find a significant alcohol cache in most english homes really. Our drinking culture is fucked. To the point where I almost allowed my 12 year old sister some drink the other day because I remember doing it anyway with my friends. Because EVERYONE I know drank from the age of about 13 pretty much without exception, it doesn't seem wrong to me. So here I am enforcing rules that I can remember (without regret of any kind) breaking and being, eventually, allowed to break. Its a wierd one.

Kira Yamato
26th December 2006, 13:23
America is great for this reason. You find massive caches in a lot of American homes. but if the kids touch it they get their asses whooped.

edit°
26th December 2006, 13:41
A lot of british kids get their asses whooped regardless. Most of the people I knew who broke the rules did it because they were being punished anyway. In their mind, they might as well have the fun.

I don't think this part of it is a problem we can put to nation really though. The drinking however is clear cut enough to talk about.

Sil
26th December 2006, 13:58
*Nods*

If it's worth mentioning, I, myself, have 12 acquintances who smoke marijuana or tougher drugs -- and these were all kids whose parents allowed them to drink, and friends endorsed doing so.

I think drugs is a cultivated need, not an addiction. Make sense? (Talking abotu alcohol here, nothing else)

That said, I'll drink for the fun of it anytime, but I keep a strong rule not to be drunk twice within five days...

Egh. Let's not push this into a drug debate...

Not to mention MP takes absolutely ZERO skill to play. They should have used a standard FPS control scheme for the online. The REAL game (aka SP) is a blast though, almost on par with MGS1. The torture scene was particularly hard to watch, yet moving at the same time.
