If you have or have not noticed, people have been saying about stats not updating.

For some reason the parser is not running as it should and i have a backlog of stats that have not been processed

100,000 odd lines to be exact

I will be looking into this ASAP but as of this moment, the stats system is not "LIVE" and will take me about a day to get "up to speed".

Sorry for this small service break.

***Update***

It was a parser error, greated by a problem that i caused last night at about 12am.

This was due to an error in a new piece of parser code.

Chilly put in the DB Structure that the a steam id was a INT not a VARCHAR.

DOH!!!!!! :)

This has cause quite a seriouse scew on the stats since last night, and there is no real way to repair the damage done.

Due to this i think a stats reset may have to be preformed.

THere are over 100,000 lines of data that are are still to parse
and all the stats before my line have been added over and over and over again.

I will talk it over with chilly when i get back, but who would like to see the stats after the first month of Hidden Stats Reset, and then left for good ??

Regards,
RaideR

lesson to be learnt - backup the DB before you make changes that might screw it up :p

Personally I think that the stats should be reset every so often anyway. The way that the ranking system works at the moment inherently disadvantages newcomers, and to a certain extent is more a reflection of how long and how often somebody plays, rather than their skill.

Backup the data!! That would be fucking huge.

Large, but far less annoying if something falls over and kills the db!

Daily updates can overwrite the last, just store off weekly / monthly updates.

Is this the cause of an extra 100 deaths while no kills were recorded?
