1) The triangle flashlight bug should not prevent you from killing. Do you have any proof that it actually blocked your shots?

2) Yeah...he is nearly invisible. That's why he's called the hidden.

How can you not know that the hidden... is supposed to be slightly invisible... it says hidden, not "INVISBLE MAN!"

Basically your GF4 and your FX5700 only support pixel shader 1.4 to any real extent, and unfortunately the refract shader blows on PS1.4, it seems to be more apparent on PS2.0 and PS3.0. Basically you are boned by your tech and I'm forced to say think about an upgrade...

Depends on your budget. You can get solid cards from ~$60 on up. Tell us your budget and we can see about what kinda card you can afford. I assume your board is AGP?

Depending on your location, you can get this DX9 card as long as you have AGP (and if you dont have that then boy your PC is old, bin it and start over!) In both case its a ATi 9600 with 256MB, more than respectable...

Newegg (USA)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814103167 $65

Ebuyer (UK)
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=80753 43

Both these cards are DX9 cards and will enable you to see and play Hidden as it should. You will obviously have frame rate problems but if you are on a budget then this may be your only choice.

You linked a 9250 at Newegg ;)

He'd be better off getting a higher end 9600 128 mb than a de-tuned 256mb IMO.

9250 isn't dx9, you'd want a 9550 or above.
