View Full Version : Cannot get sv_pure to show mismatching files

I'm trying to get sv_pure working on a dedicated server I'm running on a separate box I've got in my house. I've followed all of the directions that Phaedrus and Paegus had posted on these forums. I've got one of Paegus's whitelists running and I've seen that it does the CRC calculations on server startup. When I join the server with my client having the entire models/ folder renamed to something else, I just get disconnected on round start.

Client side has the message:
materials mismatch, we reckon you're cheating (or whatever it says)

Server side has the message:
Dropped Player from server (Disconnect by user)

I don't know why I'm not getting the Warning: Pure Server information that I think I should be getting. Is there something going on here?

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get.

That kick message isn't actually from the pure setup. Its an ingame attempt to monitor the hidden model.

Try looking at the white list and edit one of the .mdl or .vmt files and see what happens.
