Hello Ladies and Gentlemen!

I have played Hidden on and off for the last 3 years and I would first like to thank the Devs for the amazing work put into this mod. Not only is it fun to play, but it is a beautiful interpretation of the uses of the Source Engine. Also, thank you new players who have played and continue to play. Last, and certainly not least, thank you to the dedicated veterans players who continue to support this mod.

Now, to the good part. I have decided recently that I am going to try my hand at creating some exciting new maps for Hidden. I mapped a few times in the past with dismal results, but have been working on things for other source engine games and I think I can manage this time. I would like to be using my free time to come up with some new favorites for old players and new players. Please, I would like to get any suggestions or starting points from the people that play this game. Afterall, you are what makes this game. Why not get your input?

I would say please avoid the usual industrial warehouse locale.. but.. well they're just so darned crate-friendly.

Well, the devs ( I'm looking at you paegus) need to make more hidden themed props to throw.

Welcome to the mappers community. Optimise your maps and make them somewhat reaistic;
However its damn hard to make realistical maps for Hidden as there is no real story that you can build themed or general maps on;
i.e.: Why doesn't the hidden just run away? Why are there IR-props i.e.: on a trainstation?

How does the IRIS find the Hidden and know that he won'T run away, why is the Hiddenknife invisble but nothing else he holds?

I made the map as realistic as possible but as there are no places that are handy for both sides to play.

I.e: Most apartments can't be used; to narrow.

There are no univsersal hidden-dev-team made props. etc

I'm thinking that maybe trying something like an abandoned mineshaft or hospital would be good.

A good start is to not download things you're not meant to...

Well aren't you nice, you don't even know the story Bravo, I didn't jack the files from them someone I know sent me a link, I won't name who, and said it was... Umm I can't really release what he said it was but it was Hidden related, I went to the link and it was a TON of files, at that time there was no protection on them so I thought it was just an early thing, I didn't know they weren't for the public :(

Firstly, it was a joke. Secondly, your excuse is pathetic and techincly stealing..?
My first point is no longer a joke.

It's not an excuse Bravo, I literally had no idea they weren't public, nether did the guy who sent them to me, as I said they weren't under a protection like a Username or Password to access them, it was ether broken or just messed up, but to Ging, I truly am sorry about it.

Back on topic, sorry for derailing it so much cjdelta04:

I hope to see an amazing custom map from you ;)

This is a mapping thread, if you want to chit chat, do it somewhere else.
