A secret Infinitum Research laboratory on the edge of the Dover Coast.

Secluded from Society, accessible only by guarded checkpoints leading through private roads to the A20 Dual Carrdigeway.

The Hidden has breached the Facility in search of answers to his past but the I.R.I.S has been deployed and are hot on his trail.

In a fit of rage, Subject 67 has killed many I.R Scientits and Security Guards, destroying I.R equipment in the process.

Now that the I.R.I.S have arrived, all that remains is a struggle for survival.
Can Subject 67 escape the facility alive?

I have put some ideas to paper tonight, looking at it being built on a cliff edge so it can only be viewed from the Sea.

An outside courtyard where the I.R.I.S spawn.

The following is built into a cliff face:

One main entrance, a large security door.
Two extra entrances in the shape on Ventilation Shafts.
A second level Control Room that looks out onto the Courtyard.
A third level that is on top of the cliff, glass building for maximum vantage point.
Plus the offices, labs and connecting hallways.

Looking at it being dark like Origin, damaged malfunctioning facility.
Alarms, fire, smoke & flickering lights.
Not as futuristic though as playing with HL2 textures.

Will start on the main lab first and build outwards, will update this post as I go along.

Alot of my inspiration for this map has come from HL2 Lost Coast.

The security entrance of the Facility I'm looking at something like this:

But after the top of the entrance, the cliff face will keep going up. Then you will have the second floor control room with blacked out glass, the cliff keeps going until it flattens at the top where the third floor will be the glass dome.

Firstly, I must apolagise for the poor quality of drawing you are about to see. Haha..

This is a side view of the layout. The right hand side, with the rasied hill and trees is our I.R.I.S spawn. You can fall of the edge, you will die.
The left side slope can not be accessed, you cant get out of the Black dome on top of the cliff.

The black building is our facility, entrance at the bottom..second level control room looking out to the spawn and 3rd floor enclosed dome.

This is a front view of the Facility, I.R.I.S spawn behind you.
Security door and top two floors.

The whole facility is enclosed, like a large crater.

This, Sigh* I don't know what this is..

It should of been a view of the Facility in the Crater, moving out to the Sea view where you have I.R.I.S spawn and the edge of the cliff.
But, I don't know. Looked better in my head haha!

I will start mapping this later today. Fingers crossed!

Issue I'm having is that the Phys props fall through the Displacements.
Basically, all of the outside area.
