I've been using Stripper: Source (http://www.bailopan.net/stripper/) for quite a while now and figured I'd make my more useful scripts available for other server admins to use.

Stripper is a server plugin that allows you to add, remove, and (thanks to a request from Paegus) easily modify entities within a map, live on the server's side. No recompiling or downloading is necessary for the clients.

I've done some silly things with it on my server, but a few useful things as well, which I'll post here. To make use of these, install Stripper:source via the link above, then just rename the attached .txt files and give them a .cfg extension. Then place each .cfg file in your hidden/addons/stripper/maps directory.

Since surveillance cameras are just point entities, they can be moved, added and removed with Stripper. I've started adding a few extra cameras around maps that I feel are lacking in video coverage. Highrise is a good example, there just aren't many good locations to place an actual camera. So this first script adds two cameras to oversee some parts of the map that aren't well covered. The cameras are available for all surveillance or dead players to use. These cameras are floating in mid-air, so their models are set to invisible so as not to distract the players. Below are some shots of the new views.

I'm still tweaking the views, and Highrise is just the first map I've added more cameras to... I plan to add to other maps as needed.

Ravenholm is one of the most popular custom maps, but it has a notorious hole in it that players fall through pretty regularly, causing them to either fall to their death or be stuck running around the skybox below the map. This next script adds a model to cover the hole and prevent people from falling through. It's actually a dock model on its side.

I also moved the one spawn point that starts one of the IRIS off in the nearby fire. He's a few feet away now, safe and sound.

Finally, there are two annoying camping spots in Derelict. One under a flight of stairs and one behind a dumpster. This final script places a box under the stairs and a log behind the dumpster, preventing players from camping in both spots. Here are shots of each:

If not, I have modified Ravenholm in hammer to start the players out of the fire, added a wall to that hole, put some clips where you could get stuck between buildings and behind that fence, modified the outside buildings so they don't go out of the sky box to create a sealed map, fixed the ladder, and added a few barrels for physing. I'll upload if needed.

Hmm... that's odd. I have 2 Ravenholm-Maps in the mappack:

hdn_ravenholmtown_b1
hdn_Ravenholm

In both is the hole? Has anybody an newer version for me?

ravenholm has a hole in it. i don't quite remember what ravenholmtown_b1 is but i can only assume that's what everyone's talking about.

my stripper collection includes:

hdn_highrise
barrel wedged in that fence gate down the stairs to the left of IRIS spawn.
hdn_ravenholm
a wire fence covering the hole
hdn_mobscene
wooden crates are grabbable
O2 etc canisters are grabbable
...there are other things i've yet to get around to fixing
hdn_executive
adverts are collidable
global
all vent grates only break when hit for 37 or more damage. so only the knife, grenades or explosives will do the job. this limits vent camping and the like in stalkyard, dispatch, etc until the hidden opens them up.
Jimmy is collidable in all maps. he is also a bit heavier and his impact damage is 'sharp'. you can alter those by deleting the massScale & Damagetype lines.
The XBox is similarly sharp. delete at will.
Those orange push-carts are a bit heavier.
All cars and vans are now static (motion-disabled) in all maps for easier wealking-on. It's not like Pig-sticking them did much anyway.
Wheelybin/dumpsters are a bit lighter (for easier moving with pigstick/punt) and are motion-disabled until attacked for easier walking-on.
All those round wooden tables (ala executive) are now grabbable
All bar-stools (ala executive) are now grabbable

I've also included an example hdn_stalkyard & hdn_discovery configs that randomly set fog levels each round.

just extract the map_name.zip files to the maps folder. though you might want to copy & paste contents into others if you already have them.

the global_filters goes in .../addons/stripper folder, below maps/.

You should be able to set the camera's field of view, so for highrise at least you could put the cameras on the surrounding buildings and just lower the FOV so it zooms in a bit...

That was intended to be a temporary one... I'm still using a modified version of Phaedrus' pigstick limiting script that toggles sv_pigstick on and off... Until I come up with something in Sourcemod, pigstick doesn't work to bump things around when there are too few players to enable a pigstick kill, so I still have it there. :)

I Used stripper to make some good changes to the map hdn_seamadness the map had a few anoying flaws and needed some TLC.

1. Removed the door that you would allways get stuck on when trying to get inside the house.

2. Removed the dumpster and made the large cargo crate static this will help people from getting behind it and camping and you dont get stuck anymore when on it.

3. Those blue water barrels are now interactive

4. Added jimmy :)

5. Added 3 new camera angles so you can now see pretty much every angle of the map.

I made a demo of the changes check it out and see what you think.

I added a new prop model to my server but when i join the server it doesnt download and the prop shows up as a error? how do i get the new prop to download?

If it's a custom model, you'll need to call AddFileToDownloadsTable() in a sourcemod script (or 'downloadable' in eventscripts) to get people downloading it. There should be a few scripts already out there that allow you to add and precache files automatically via config. Check around the sourcemod site, I could have sworn I saw some.

There seems to be some problems with stripper or the scripts on some maps:

That's Paegus' fog script, just pull the fog stuff from your config files and you're good.
